The DVDGenerator's business model is primarily that of
capital equipment sales. The DVDGenerator is a CD/DVD
production system and as such, it is intended market is
that of disc replicators, duplicators and service brokers.
DVD Generator appeals to three groups who make up the purchasing cycle, content owners, replicators and the public.
Replicators will purchase DVDGenerator systems and offer the
disc on demand service to their clients – the content owners
such as record companies, movie studios and others.
The content owners will send their material to the replicators.
The public can then access the content through the web or a call
center and order discs with the content they want.
The replicators will produce the disc and ship it to the public.
The replicators will charge the content owners a per-disc charge,
while the rest of the money, as well as any income created by
advertising will go to the content owner.
The content owners will have complete controls over the look and feel of the discs, the price of the media,
the advertising they wish to put on the disc etc.
This business model is very similar to that used today with mass
productions of CDs and DVDs, but offers lower hardware costs,
higher profit margin and outlet to streaming media business
models.
